Meet the Authors
Emily Curtis lives in NC with her husband, Brent, and their four children, Micah, Avia, Malachi and Alayah. She has a passion for ministering to hurting people and learning how to love them as Christ would. She serves at Twin City Bible Church in the nursery and music ministries. She enjoys homeschooling, writing poetry, singing and playing piano.
Zoe Jones is happily remarried to her sweet husband of 21+8 years. They live in Chandler, AZ and their free time is spent enjoying their grandchildren and family.
Kristen Ironside lives in Greenville, SC with her husband, Brandon, and 3 sons, Jackson, Tucker, and Carson. She splits her time between actively performing as a collaborative pianist and staying home with her children.
Jessica Cook has since moved with her family to a homestead-style property where she lives peacefully with her husband Matthew, and her remaining children Bentley, Carson, and Aubrey. She enjoys working in the garden and creating art with various medias such as watercolor and solid oil pastels.
Chuck Kirchner currently lives in Kernersville, NC with his two sons. He works for the Department of Environmental Quality and still attends Twin City Bible Church. He is currently serving with the maintenance crew and helps with the children’s ministry.
Jean McCollum lives in Winston-Salem, NC, with her husband, Paul. Her youngest son is a college freshman so they have an empty nest. She is working on her Biblical Counseling Certification and ministering to women coming out of addiction.
Elizabeth Knussman and her husband, Garry, live in Northern Kentucky. She enjoys reading and helping as she can with ministries at their church in Ohio.
Chantell Dennis is the wife of her high school sweetheart, Jared, and mom to three wonderful children Jack (7), Calvin (5), and Charlotte (4). When she’s not taking care of her family, she’s also a professional organizer helping people make their homes and life more peaceful through simple organization.
Susanne Shaw is married to her high school sweetheart, Aaron, and they have 5 boys: Alexander (13), Levi (12), Luke (10), Solomon (8), Maxton (4). They have lived in NC for 13 years and she keeps herself busy with homeschooling and running around to various music lessons and baseball practices. Susanne serves in the infant nursery ministry every Sunday and is grateful to love on the babies and encourage their moms as the women before her have loved on her babies and were a source of encouragement.
Angelina Korotki was born in Ukraine to a missionary family. When she was 7 years old her family moved to Kazakhastan to be missionaries there for 8 years. She spent 6 years in California, graduated from the Master’s University as a Music Major and worked at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley. She now lives in Israel with her family where she works for One for Israel Mission College of the Bible. She helps organize Bible tours for church groups from the USA and other English-speaking countries.
Jill Aguiar resides in Winston-Salem, NC with her husband, Tom, and her two children, Noelle (11) and Ian (7). In addition to caring for her family, she is involved in music within their church and the community and also enjoys interior design projects as time allows.
Jill is the oldest daughter of Chris McDowell.
Chris McDowell lives in Winston-Salem, NC. She directs the children’s choir and kids’ chorale at Twin City Bible Church along with assisting with the youth choir. She has 5 grown children and 8 grandchildren. Chris is the mother of Jill Aguiar.
Carrie Malik lives in Michigan with her husband and three growing children. She works part-time as an ICU nurse at a local hospital, but her real claim to fame is that she’s a full time homeschooling mom. Carrie’s hobbies include music and photography, but her first focus is her family. In their local church, she serves enthusiastically at the piano and with the worship team.
Brighton Hart (Lang) lives in Simpsonville, SC with her husband, Wade, and their two children, Weston Adam and Avonlea Faith. When she’s not busy being a homemaker, Brighton loves reading, sewing, crocheting, and being crafty in general. She loves serving in music ministry when she can. Brighton is the younger sister of Gillian Townsley and the aunt of Faith Townsley, whom her daughter is named after.
John and Gillian Townsley are CA natives, residing in Winston-Salem, NC. They have 6 children, Owen (17), Asher (15), Knox (14), Reichen (13), Paxton (11), and Aria (9). John is a software developer who loves to read, play board games, spend time with his family and serve as a part of the church finance team. Gillian spends her days homeschooling, driving the kids to various music, dance, and sports activities and serving in the church as the yearly director of the VBS drama. They both enjoy serving in music ministry and attending their Biblical Counseling class, where they hope to become ACBC certified counselors. Gillian is the older sister of Brighton Hart.
Daisy Cox has been married to John for 20 years and they have always served in ministry in different capacities. They have served at a drug and alcohol rehab center, youth and young adult ministries as well as a senior pastor role (and wife of senior pastor) for almost 15 years. She was blessed to work at the Master’s Seminary for a time while John completed his Masters degree. They live in Fresno, CA and have three children: Jane, Brooke and Jack. They love to venture to the mountains and beach every chance they get!
John Cox is married to Daisy and serves as the head pastor of Redemption Bible Church in Fresno, CA.
Ben and Stephanie Messer live in Lewisville, NC. Their oldest son is married and lives in Virgina. Their youngest son is 15 and is homeschooled by Stephanie. Ben also teaches in adult Sunday school classes and is an elder at their church.
Kevin and Catherine Bell are originally from NC and came to saving faith in Jesus Christ as young adults. They now serve in full-time ministry overseas. God has blessed them with three sons in addition to Hudson.
John and his wife, Lisa, reside in Southern CA and have three children; Ella, Rose and Jack. The Martins have served in music ministry at Grace Community Church under the ministry of Dr. John MacArthur for over 20 years.
Lynn Whitford has been married to Franklin for 50 years. They have 4 adult children and 10 grandchildren. Although health issues keep them from the ability to physically attend church, Lynn still serves the Lord in various ways. She calls widows to encourage them, writes “thinking of you” cards to lonely people in the church, and spends many hours weekly counseling women facing hardships. Along with ministry, she enjoys playing piano, quilting and photographing flowers.
Denise lives in NC and has four grown children and 12 grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading and baking and she enjoys serving her church at the front desk.
